Product introduction:
Glutathione is composed of glutamate acid, cysteine and glycine. It helps maintain normal immune system function, and has anti-oxidation and integrative detoxification activity. It combines with free radicals, heavy metals and other substances to convert harmful toxins into harmless substances and excrete them out of the body.
Mechanism of action:
The structure of glutathione contains a reactive -SH which is prone to oxidative dehydrogenation, which makes it a major scavenger of free radicals in vivo. For example, when a small amount of H2O2 is generated in cells, GSH reduces H2O2 to H2O under the action of glutathione peroxidase, which oxidizes itself to GSSG. GSSG is reduced to GSH by H under the action of glutathione reductase existing in liver and red blood cells, so that free radical scavenging can be carried out continuously in the body.
